This may sound surprising, but we have visitors who come to Bretby just for our food! Our new restaurant manager Julie Shaw has some delicious, mouth-watering new recipes all freshly prepared from local British produce and of course our staff are always on hand to offer outstanding service.
Food for thought
From humble beginnings, the restaurant has continued to expand and we can now accommodate up to 200 customers - and plans are afoot to improve the layout even further.
Julie Shaw and her team are proud of their reputation which is spreading beyond the local area and it is obvious to everybody that they all enjoy preparing food which satisfies the palate and tingles the taste buds.
A new addition to the menu, is our increasingly popular ‘Roast dinner Thursday night’ promotion where our customers can enjoy a traditional 2 course roast dinner between 5pm and 7pm.
We change our menu every week and of course, if you have any suggestions for forthcoming menu ideas we are always delighted to receive them.
Our restaurant also offers a mouth watering selection of snacks and refreshments.

Back by popular demand is the Bretby Thursday Night Meal Deal. 2 people can eat for just £8.99. This is between 5pm and 7pm.
Julie’s Monthly Recipes
Cheese and Onion Quiche
Ingredients: 8oz plain flour 4oz Lard 1 Chopped Onion 5oz Grated Cheese 2 Eggs Milk Salt & Pepper
To make the pastry mix the plain flour with the lard, rub together with cold water to make a dough. Roll out. Line a 7 inch flan dish with the pastry. To make the filling simply mix the cheese, whisked eggs, small amount of milk and salt & pepper to taste. Add the cheese & onion filling into the flan dish. Bake for 35 mins on 190°C until knife comes out clean.
